Question Broken Fuel End Cap -Help

Recently bought 04 F-250 Superduty. Went to change secondary fuel filter and the cap head broke. Will still be able to get off, but where can I buy a new one???

You can get it from any Ford dealer or if you are lucky enough to have a International dealer near by you can get it there. The list price from Ford is $56.55, but the International dealer should be able to get it to you for less then $20...

Ford Part Number: 3C3Z-9G270-AA

International Part Number: 1843057C92

any way you can without hurting the filter housing. i'd try a light tap on it with a small chisel, but dont damage the aluminum housing.

If you used a square drive ratchet in the hole, that's why you broke it. I don't know why they put that there, because it's just asking for problems.

It's a metric hex, but a 15/16" socket fits mine fine. You could still try that, or a pipe wrench if there is anything left of it. If not, you'll probably have to very carefully split it with a cut-off wheel. Obviously you'll need to get it spotlessly clean afterward.

I have seen a few comments from other folks in your situation that have been able to successfully get the broken cap off using a strap wrench...
