6L build up
I have a customer that wants to do some MINIMUM work to his 6L, he wants to use a Banks Hoss system, I am telling him he doesn't really need that much and can probably get by with just intake/exhaust..since the truck is a work truck and several workers will drive it..Is the OEM HG's safe with this configuration?
What other problems can show up if this system is installed...

banks is over priced. What does he want out of the truck, factory intake is not a restriction and filters better then anything aftermarket. Go with a turbo back exhaust like a 409 SS MBRP system. If he wants better shifts and tranny life maybe a SCT from Eric at Inovative with trans only tuning and possibly reduced timing for better reliability of the HGs.

If it is a shop truck I wouldn't put any kind of a program on it..... Shop trucks get rode hard and put up wet and they arnt cheap... With any programmer there is potential for damage as the stocker break untuned the programmer isn't going to give enough milage savings to justify the potential damage by a uneducated user that didn't pay attention to the gauges.
