Hi there all,
Well finally the interior is very much completed. The job came out pretty good except for the headliner. I bought a ABS headliner thinking it would be easier than making one itself. Test fitted the thing in and it was ok. After covering it and putting it back in, it left some gaps around the doors. So I wouldn't reconmend them for a sure fit solution. it will do for the time being until I can figure out a way to close the gaps. Also the 53 is road registered now and do you like my licence plates. Aussie 53 (Paul)
That is looking real good. I like the plate, a different way of telling folks it's a 53. I like the grille color. It looks just like the original color that is on my 53 F-750's grille....did you get paint custom mixed for that, or what? I think it looks better than the ever popular bright white you see on a lot of the trucks.
Holy crow! Nice job! I take it everything was custom? You mentioned covering an ABS headliner, did you do the same for the door panels? I really enjoy the look of those!
looks killer....super clean....might i add a comment...maybe color matched seat belts!?!?! say in blue or white! just me....but thats one fine effie ya got there !!!
Looking like a great ride! I just got a vinyl headliner and door panels for mine. I went with the bowed headliner and was having second thoughts , but after hearing your story about the ABS headliner maybe I'm ok with it now. I was wondering about your arm rests on the doors, seems like I read somewhere in one of my catalogues the big end is supposed to go in front. Do you know anything about that? They look good the way they are though . Your color choice turned out A.O.K. Kepp on truckin in the land down under!
You've done a great job on your truck. I'm curious about the right hand drive. Did you buy the truck here in the states and convert it to right hand drive, or was it originally built for the Australian market?
