Quick heater hose question

92 F250 with a 460/5spd. Are the heater hoses 5/8" or 3/4"? Also what size is the short hose comming off the back of the water pump? I want to pick up new hoses but the truck is not here for me to look at and I don't want to have to drive an extra 30 miles just to check the sizes before picking them up.

I think your heater hoses are 5/8" considering you have the manual transmission. The hose coming from the intake to the water pump is called the bypass hose, and it is also 5/8".

I think the autos have some smaller 5/16" or 3/8" hoses.

All the heater cores are the same, and it's the core that dictates hose size. I've never seen anything smaller then 5/8 and am 99% sure that's what our trucks are.

All I'm saying is on Napa's website their are 5/16" and 3/8" heater hoses listed for 4 Speed Automatic Transmissions not the C6s. I do not know where/if they are used. It has been awhile since I have seen a 460 anyways.

Here's the link (EDIT: page 2):

My 87 f150 302 automatic has 5/8" heater hoses with a 3/8" running into the throttle body if that helps at all.

Heater hoses are normally 5/8th or 3/4". On my GM they are 1 of each. I know my heater hoses are origional and the bypass has a small leak.
