yep warm enough to start the ranger up now that the snow is off it. threw the battery back in and the thing fires before it even turns over once.

now to find a stock crank pulley for it...

And you say the back blade does a good leveling job eh? Do you think it would work good on a larger scale, more uneven type yard?

If so i should look into getting one.

This spring the ground was soft and moist so the blade worked great, like a mini road grader. If it gets too hard and lumpy it`ll skip over alot of it, there`s no real down pressure. You`d be better of with a pull behind farm type land lever, that`ll bite in more. Check with Flaman Sales.

Thats the best and only time to rake leaves isn't it??? At least when I lived in town, thats the only time the neighbor raked his leaves.. Funny how they ALWAYS ended up in my yard. Now I don't have that problem. Lots of jackpine and what little leaves fall from the poplars, one breeze and they all blow into the woods. Problem solved!

Actually the best deal I`ve ever seen for on the cheap is a big piece of used I-Beam or heavy angle iron with weights added on top of it. It`s used in gravel pits, anything that`ll level off hard packed and dried up clay/gravel mix has got to work just any where! About 12-15 feet of this will make super quick work when towed behind your hoe or your PSD. Don`t try it with your little Case though!
A dozer is ok, alot more $$ and it tends to dig into much with muddy conditions or where the ground is a little softer than the hard pack.

Hey thats a great idea! Ill have to look into that a little more!

Ive been thinking about a dozer for my business, thought i would use it around home too.
More I think about it, the more I think Im going to get a skidsteer next though. Then I can do smaller corrals, smaller lots for snow clearing, that sorta thing.

The hoe is overkill for alot of work thats available in this area.

Just make sure the price is cheap as dirt haha.

I will actually probably get one from a ritchie brothers auction. I wouldnt need a super nice, new one for what i would use it for. I would need a good one though!
