Another E4OD Q
Guess I'm here just to get a feel for what I'm about to face this coming week. Got a '93 F-150 w/ 300 c.i. 6. 105K miles. Been very happy with the truck, I really have no complaints. I'd like to replace it, but right now the $$ just aren't there. Last week I noticed the 2-3 upshift was acting strange. Delayed if you will. 1-2 is fine, and 3 to OD fine, just the 2-3 shift under very light throttle. Fluid changed at 20K mile intervals, always looked good. Fluid now still looks good, clean, not burned smelling at all. Always cancel OD if not on the highway. Occasionaly towing of a light trailer on 100 mile trips or less. I've also noticed lately that during warmup at low speeds, light throttle, I get a rapid bucking or surging, reminiscent of the old days when you pushed the choke in too soon.
I'm suspecting a torque converter issue. Looking for ideas or opinions on what might be the problem. Still trying to figure out where to bring it too. I'm more worried about who is going to fix it than what the actual problem is.

Thanks..
