well I see that it has dual from stabilizers on it, but not so sure of the kind. I would assume that is the case along with the dings and stuff. It does have a buy now price of 19K. Must really have a big issue for the dealer to put that statement in red.
So I think I would pass it buy unless you want to buy new tires and try to fix the issue
dealers have a hard time selling modified trucks because of warranty, so a as is price seems kind of high, esp. for a 6.0 its like buying a hand grenade without a pin!
I've found that KBB, NADA, Edmunds etc. are way too high recently as they are not reflecting accurate market conditions in real world/real time. Considering that the Ford dealers, here in the Chicago area at least, are still trying to empty the lots of new 08 inventory at discounts ranging from 8-15 k off list plus financing incentives, it trickles down to a somewhat price depressed used car market. Then there's trying to finance a 4 year old vehicle in this lending climate. Check out the "SOLD" listings on ebay for a bit more accuracy. I haven't but I would venture a guess that many are going for less than KBB. Does look like a pretty trick truck though.
Hmmm, how about "NOTE TO ALL BIDDERS TRUCK SHAKES HORRIBLY SOMETIMES WHEN YOU HIT BUMPS WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS. DONT KNOW WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO FIX IT. WOULD RECOMMEND TOWING VEHICLE IF YOU ARE VERY FAR FROM OUR DEALERSHIP." Sounds like it has a real bad case of the Death Wobble. You pay that much for a truck, and have to fix it right away...possibly even before you get it home!
Sounds like the "death wobble" that is mentioned in here frequently. This started with the 05's when they changed the front end and gave it a shorter turning radius.
You might want to research it and find what other owners have had to do to fix it.
However, I think I would pass on this particular truck.
If you like it, offer the dealer $16K and take it back to STOCK. Death wobble is an easy cure, but this truck in the auction doesn't look built to handle the modifications and lift the previous owner made - not to mention the tires. The dual stabilizer on the front looks weak. A super heavy duty stabilizer would probably solve a lot of problems on that truck.
