Mirrors

First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Bill and I have ownned Fords all of my life. I just bought an 09 Platinum and I hate the mirrors. I have the tow mirrors on the truck and was looking to change them out to the power folding. I got a price of $1200 to do that. I was wondering if the Superduty power folding mirrors would work on a 150? any info would help!!!

Thanks, Bill

Congrats on the new truck! Try to post some pictures if you can.

I haven't heard of anyone putting Superduty mirrors on a F150, probably because they are not compatible (different mounting holes I would think).

You might want to check with an online Ford parts dealer like tascafordparts.com and see how much the regular Platinum mirrors cost. I'm guessing around $500 to $600. And it shouldn't be too hard to take off your door panels and you can just swap the mirrors yourself (I did on my old 04 truck once to replace a broken mirror). And then you can sell your towing mirrors to recoup some of the cost back.

The only thing is I'm not sure your truck will be prewired with the power folding relay module in order for the power folding feature to work. Most trucks aren't but they may be a chance that the Platinum is since the regular folding mirrors are standard on that truck. What did your dealer say about that?

and please send me an email through my profile (not a visitor message) so that I can email you the Bakflip info. Thanks. here is the email link to me:
