Oil Pan Bolt Pattern?

i dont remember if there is a specific pattern or not, but its not real critical. i usually start in the middle and criss cross my way to the ends, just snug them up. i usually end up doing it five or six times at least because as you tighten the outside bolts it takes the pressure off of the middle ones so they are loose again. as you tighten the middle the outside becomes loose. just keep going over it and snug them up until they are all evenly snug. do not overtighten.

Usually start in the middle, and criss-cross like lasthighboy said. The important thing is that you tighten them gradually so that the pan flange does not warp. If you're using a cork gasket, it's important to repeat this process a couple times because the gasket will relax, and you'll need to re-torque.
