engine issue
hello, just visiting from my normal haunts here on fte-
my daddy's 97 expedition (auto, 4wd, about 140k mi) suddenly spiked to 4k rpm, began running rough, and the cel came on the other day. he described it as shuddering much like it did following the engine pressure-washing incident, which turned out to be a coil (??) in one of the cylinders at fault.
it had been sitting all week after i used it the previous sunday to haul my two-horse tagalong to the park. everything ran fine then, we have a brake controller, and i am very good about remembering to turn off od when towing.
