My 2004 F150 Heritage came with the fleet style gray grill and I didn't like the look of it too much. I decided to go ahead and paint it white to match the rest of my truck although i left the insert itself gray. I used Dupli-Color auto paint. I made a gallery in my profile. Check it out and tell me what you think!!
looks good, where did you get the duplicolor spray paint
autozone, walmart, ect.
Did you scuff the plastic and use adhesion promoter? If not, it may not last too long. I had my lower and upper bumper valance painted at a cheapo body shop
It looked great but it flaked off pretty fast. I stripped it off, scuffed the plastic, cleaned it with degreaser, then sprayed it with adhesion promoter and used spray bedliner coating on it. Holding up good for 2 yrs.
I got the spray at autozone. I did scuff it before and wash it with rubbing alcohol before i painted it but did not use adhesion promotor. I also put a clear protectant coat on it.
