Radio removal

Radio removal
2003 F-150 with factory radio c/d player. Trying to remove this with no success. Have the removal tool. Push both in and can move the radio just a hair (1/16 of an inch). Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your replys.

The only time I've seen people not get the radio out using the correct tool was when they pushed the tool in further than it needs to go. Insert tool one side at a time and listen/feel it click in place, then gently push both outward at the same time.

The push outward is the key, you are using the end of the tool in the radio to squeeze the tabs close to the radio and allow it to slip out.
