Hello,
I have a 05 F250 4wd 6L Dsl- I removed both nuts from the steering damper but the drag link end will not come out (easily). I don't have any good tools at my girlfriends so I was wondering if anyone can give me a suggestion on the best way to get it out. besides taking a hammer and "tapping" it out? Thanks in advance
Getting the nut off was the difficult part. Try a little oil and wiggling it around on the bushing. There is a rubber bushing that isolates the shock from the stud, I don't believe my stock one had a sleeve, so it's probably glued itself together. A pickle fork would also work well. Or you could try working it apart with a flat bladed screwdriver.
