Long Bed Stepside Tailgate Hardware
Hi Guys,
61 F100 4x4 looking for all hardware for a long-bed stepside tailgate.
If you have it, or know where I should be looking, I'd appreciate it.
I have the tailgate, but that's all, and am not sure what I need.

The tailgate (B7D8340700A) used with the 8 foot Express Bed is longer (54 13/16") than the tailgate (B7C8340700A) used for the 6 1/2" bed (49 13/16").
The same tailgate was used from 1957 thru 1972.
You need the following to install the tailgate.
2) 8C-8343018-A .. Right/Left Hinges / Obsolete
MCSPADDEN FORD in Globe AZ has TWO.
KINSEL L/M in Beaumont TX has THREE: 800-816-2894.
GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 22 = 800-543-4959.
FYI: KINSEL will be cheaper.
These hinges are the same for all Flareside pickup beds regardless of the length and were used 1948/1979.
In the picture of the rear of your truck you will see two bolts holes on the left side just to the right of the taillamp.
I can't see these holes in the picture...there should be two more holes on the right side. These are where the hinges bolt on.
The bolts are 1/4" -20 x 3"

This is it! No Ford Dealer or other obsolete parts vendor has any.
These chains are specific to the 8' Express Bed and come with the hardware to attach them to the bedsides.

Hey guys, thanks so much for the advice, and the leads. I am pretty sure the 8ft bed isn't stock, and there is some welding/fabrication on the rear bumper/mounts. I bought this truck in British Columbia, in a mining town, so I suspect there were some modifications made.
