98 rust under running boards

98 rust under running boards
Hi
Removed my running boards because of rust. I cut the rust out . I now have a hole about 3 inches x 3 inches. Its in a spot that cant be seen becasue the running board will hide it. Can anyone recommend the best way to fill the hole . Thanks
