Looks pretty much the same as mine, when I unhooked the ccv line from the intake. Thats one of the reasons I hooked it back into the new intake, and will not just run the ccv out to open air. I dont use but a quart of oil every oil change, which is 7500-10000 mile intervals. Dont have an of the smells, dont have any of the smoke, and if that oil was going to go somewere, I would want it ran into the engine, to burn as oil is combustable. Thats how the heat works at my gas station, used oil furnace. But thats my oppinion.
I asked him about his a while back. He said he got it off ebay. I tried to find one then, but had no luck. I may have to try again. If I find several, I let ya'll know.
Boy that wind was sure blowin' hard that day Joe, we had anywhere from 40-60 mph winds here in Oklahoma. Went from 80 degrees one day, down to 40 the next. Looks like were gonna bounce back & forth again this week.
I modified my fill cap and tied it all together with a Y fitting and out to atomosphere. Dual CCV mod. still no drips !
Joe, yours looks fine. Nothing to worry about.
Thank Brandon. Have you gotten rid of all that wastegate tubing & junk yet? Where did you get the other oil cap? I'll probably do the same thing here soon. And right now, the hose goes all the way to the rear axle, and I'm wanting to just run both down to the back of the engine and call it good.
As a follow-up, I took another vid after dropping my daughter off at school. The truck was starting to warm up, but definitely wasn't up to operating temp yet (38* here this morning!! ). I set the oil cap on the fill tube upside-down, and it sat there with no problem.
Then your all good. I have herd of some people trying this on used trucks and the cap will shoot off like a rocket!
Wow! I guess I'm in good shape then. One thing I noticed in that last vid was how much more smooth the idle is now compared to when I first got it. The engine used to jump around in the bay a little, but now it's perfectly still. I believe that's a testimony to the CCK, HPX, Hutch, and syn oil. I never really paid that much attention, but I distinctly remember it hopping around on the mounts before. My Ranger's 3.0L used to hop around in a similar way -- kind of nice seeing the difference those mods actually make.
