Nice, I like it, now I am interested to do the same but it sucks that mine is cracked underneath the grill insert that the first owner put on.
Fiberglass repair the back side Andrew. Then paint away. If the front side is banged up a bit then use some plastic body filler (bondo) on it before painting.

Good point, Jay. IIRC, Andrew's grill is missing a chunk as well as cracked.

I would if I was not missing a good chunk out of it!
LMAO!!! Now you have me second-guessing myself on the white. I *think* it'll be okay, and if I go with white door handles (can they be painted too?) it might tie it all together nicely. I hope.
I think the white will look great. I kinda whish I had a white truck since they look tough with a white drill, white mirrors with chrome covers, and the white 05+ front bumper. That looks tough. Especially on a 4x4 dually!
To the OP, I actually like that grill. It almost looks like it was "cast" and then the chrome parts have been polished. It looks good.
I painted my grill insides black and like it. Next move I think is to color match it. I have seen it done with my color truck and it looks awesome.
did you try to clean off the gray before you painted it?? some guy's have found that there was real chrome under that nasty gray...
I tried that Ron. No go. Just gray primer underneath. lol

Hope I can find the clips on the bottom with the guard on there as well!
Its tight, use a extra long flat head screwdriver, right between the bumper and grill, you should be able to see them. The tabs lift up at the bottom if you know what I mean. I hope this doesn't turn out like the T-Stat thread, lol.. I'll quit now, haha...
