interesting about the radio feedback. It seems that was the issue, but never had that happen to me and I have had some alternators go out at some rather bad times.
It was strange, the only indication of anything out of the ordinary was the turn signal noise in the radio. There was no warning light on the instrument panel, at least none that I noticed.
I did two 5000+ mile round trips with my 4500 pound camper in my Expedition w/ 5.4L, 3.73 rear axle. One was from Minnesota to Montreal, Quebec, Canada down to Maine and back. The other was to North Carolina and back. Both of those were when the truck had 110K+ miles on it. It has 190K now. It's been a great ride for 12+ years.
I guess I'll be paying a little more attention to my radio now

- Update -
I made it a little further down the road today and stopped for the day in Gonzales, LA. I have an appointment in New Orleans tomorrow morning otherwise I would've gone the remaining distance to Biloxi, MS. The truck continues to run fine without any more issues with alternator. No turn signal feedback through the radio either.
Biloxi !!!
I was hooting and hollering with college wimmens in 1969 at her uncle's camp right off the bay bridge
they woke us up about 5 AM and said we gotta leave...
a girl named Camille was coming - Cat 5 !!! whew when I saw pics of that bridge we had just drove over !!!
And bought my first motorhome from a dealership right off the beach in Biloxi !!! a LIFETIME ago
so much for the history lesson thread hijack !
At least they called it that way back then
If you find your self too near the Alabama line, I'll have hot BBQ coming off the Smoker on Sunday in Mobile. mmm...
I can't hardely wait and yes that's an invite.

Careful now,you might wind up with a couple hundred Super Duties parked in front of your house
Made it to Biloxi! Now the real fun begins with the trailer in tow for the return trip. Hopefully I can get some pics posted along the way.
Thanks for the invite WeWonIt! That BBQ looks real tempting but I have to make tracks straight for home or at least in the general direction. Strange that this came up because I just had about the best BBQ pork sandwich ever here in Biloxi. Sorry I can't remember the full name but it appears to be a chain restaurant around these parts with the name Montana something.
I'm now in Henderson, LA at the Cajun Palms RV Resort. I left Biloxi this morning hoping to miss the thunderstorms and hail forecasted for the area. So far I skidded past the worst stuff. I just finished dinner at Crawfish Town USA with a terrific couple from the area. Add crawfish now to my favorite list of foods. Sorry for the not posting earlier but internet access has been spotty. Dittos with posting pictures. I promised to include some but got ahead of myself before realizing that I have no way of posting them. Anyway, I plan to make it past Houston tomorrow so I need to get an early start. The truck continues to run fine. I'm going a little slower on the return leg with the trailer in tow. I'm not looking forward to most of Texas at this rate.
