New brake technology
i'm curious to know what new technology is out there for the brake system for 1973 thru 1979 ford trucks!! i have a 1977 F-150 4x4 with the dana 44 front axle and the 9 inch in the rear.. having over 500 ponies under the hood the factory brakes due have their limits.. is there any web sites out there that may have new pieces for an old truck or applications from a newer ford truck that will work with the 73 thru 79 trucks.. thanks for any and all info.. ya'll have a great weekend. Because of the 4 wheel drive front we are limited as to options for our trucks. Disc brakes on all 4 corners is the best option and it can be done without breaking the bank. Click on the following link, the Bronco is basically an F150 with a short wheelbase and a different cab. I am doing a hydroboost setup on my 74 250 4x4. Hydroboost unit from a newer Mustang GT. So far it has not been too bad, I will post pics when I have to work on it some more. All the plumping will be done with Russel powerflex high pressure hose and -AN fittings.
