3/99 build date

My door jam say build date is 3/99...is this early or late model 99? ordering sway bar bushings and just trying to make sure it is a late model 99, thanks!

Mine has 3/99 also and I'm being told it's a late model. A buddy has a 3/99 model and he gets everything for a late model without problems so i think it's obvious to me.

Gotta check the date on your front axle if your door jam says 3/99. Or just check to see if you have round u bolts or square u bolts on the axle. You technically have a late model truck but could have either the early or the late suspension.

I have the square ones...so should I be ordering the early 99 bushings or late 99 bushings? thanks

mines a 3/3 98 now thats an early 99...

Square u bolts indicate the early suspension.

ok I agree on that but the energy suspension website only says that if the build date says "before 3/99 order Use 4.5192 Instead." Mine says 3/99. So any dummy would assume to order the other part number: 4.5186...correct??

Your truck is a late model 99', models built in 12/98' and later are late models. Ford did change some parts in 3/99' [rotors,calipers and some other parts].

Mine is built 2/23/99 and is an early build. I believe 3/1 and later are late build.

From what I have read...
3/21 and prior are technically early models at least as far as suspension goes
and
3/22 and later are the later models again as far as suspension goes

If your truck was made in 12/98' or later it is 99.5' from what I have read and heard on here and www.thedieselstop.com.

There are different cut-off dates for early/late depending on if you are talking chassis changes or motor changes (7.3L PSD). Anything built after 3/21/99 is a late model tried and true... between 12/98 and 3/21/99 its a crap shoot.
