Where to mount temp sending unit

I'm installing a tranny temp gauge and am gonna run 2 sending units to a switch so I can switch between engine temp and tranny temp. Is there an easy to get to place to install the sending unit on the engine? Something that has the same size and threads as the sending unit for the tranny?

There is a threaded plug on the side of the water pump. I think that it is the same thread size.

Was thinking under the cubby to the right of the steering wheel but me CB is there, could always remove it though. I,m saving the spot above the rearview mirror for oil and fuel pressure in the future if that feasable..

Anything is possible. Just takes a bit of creativity!
