Ok, so i thought i had the wrong upper radiator hose on my truck cause you ahve to take it off to change the fan belt. well just seen another members picture and he as well has the same hose i have on mine. but i have seen other pics with the hose how i think it should be mounted, with the strap on it behind the belt. whats the diff. is it year related? brand related?
here are the two pics. mine is like the first pic.
The one in the second picture is the "preferred" hose and fits dual alternator applications. Most "good" parts houses will ask if you want the upper hose that goes in front or behind the belt.
yeah, i went to change the belt and i was like WTF.... what idiot designed this thing! ha ha im glad there is a better way. i will swap it over. thats for the tips. and part numbers.
VERY NICE to have. I had my idleler pully go, and once I got the right part, I was on my way in like 5 min. cause I didn't have to pull the rad. hose.
its helped twice so far.
