Question stepside help

I'm trying to find out if Ford produced a fullsize pickup with extended cab and a stepside box in the 90's. Any help out there?

It's true. Like I said there are a couple around my town. I wonder if Ford ever made an ex-cab stepside in the 80's?

I've seen new Ford trucks in 4-door with Stepside boxes. I thought they looked really sweet, especially in 4x4 and lifted.

The reason I ask is I'm considering the box change if feasable. Mines a full size fleetside & maneuvers like the queen Mary. I appreciate the info.

How would changing boxes make it handle any better?

The stepside is a shor box , hence I'll have to cut & section the frame to drop on the shorter box. Current box is an 8 footer.

does this answer your question? this is my 95. extended cab flaresides seem to be fairly common around here, mostly 2 wheel drive. mine is one of the few lifted 4wd's i have seen with the extended cab flareside option.

FYI all the stepsides in the 90`s had the fiberglass running boards. If you look at the pic above the bottom front of the bed comes down beyond the cab to line up with the running board. If you do this swap it won`t look right unless you put the running boards on.
