I'm looking at a 92 t-bird sc, 3.8L supercharged, with a blown head gasket. I can buy it for $300. I'm wondering if it is worth the trouble, it looks like it could be a pain in the butt. All knowledge or pointers welcome.
The body is still in descent condition. The car only has 109k on it. I have no problem with doing the work, I was just wondering if anyone has done the head gasket on the 3.8 supercharged engine?
A 3.8 with a blown head gasket, imagine that ha ha. A blown head gasket is pretty common on the 3.8. I have never owned a 3.8, but a lot of people have, there should be a lot of experience in this area. I really like the T-bird SC and turbo coupes. My dream as allways been to take a nice black 88 turbo coupe and drop in a 302 or 351W with forced induction. The turbo 4 is OK, but it just doesn't have the sound of a V-8. If it has a good body, I believe it would be worth it.
