Not really the truth!

Do you sometimes respond to a post just to get a rise going or just to see what others would say, without expressing your true beliefs? After all, some people's responses are so entertaining, aren't they?

Not really the truth!

Now that I have announced for president, I must be a politician. Therefore it is expected I will lie.
Sometimes it's fun to pull someone's chain just to enjoy the reaction, but I usually pass.

Only if it's clearly for humor, never to mislead.

Not really the truth!

No, not intentionaly. Sometimes I may comment on a joke or add to it or a add a little tid-bit to a topic just for fun. Sometimes I do get worked up on a subject but I don't try to cause any hard feelings or start a flame war. Other times I stay away because there's enough heated debate going on. Why throw gasoline on a fire? But I guess I am guilty of fanning the flames sometimes, sorry. If I think I might offend someone, I'd rather stay silent. Like the man says, "I'd rather keep my mouth closed and be thought of as a fool, than open it and remove all doubt". But it don't always work out that way.

Not really the truth!

Let's be realistic.

On the net, I could tell you I make 100 grand a year, yet, actually be the peon in the business. For all you know, I could be an alien with my foot sewn onto my head, that only reads upside down (scary thought huh?), and butter is my source of caffeine. Or, I could be Henry Ford's unknown daughter, who's receiving messages through channeling powers I learned through the mail (hehehe).

Honesty is the best policy, right?! I want to know the real you, I don't want to see how much is in your wallet, or what you have. I want to see what's in your heart. Don't tell me not to like Joe because Paul says so. What do you get out of not being truthful?? Not being trusted.

Here's a story for you. I was reunited with my father when I was 15 years old. He drove a white lincoln town car, I really liked it. Then, the last day of my visit, he told me he had to return the car, it was a rental. I asked why he rented that car. He said he wanted to "impress his daughter". Turns out, he had an F-250 extended cab, which I fell off my rocker. He was surprised I liked the truck more than the towncar.

See, many times when you try to impress people, it backfires. He was trying to be someone he wasn't.

Coming from someone who tries to save the world, be yourself, you'll be accepted alot better, and be at peace with yourself as well. And the last thing is, remembering what you said, and who you said it to, etc. Lying carries alot of baggage, being honest carries none.

I'm an awnry person I tend to speak my mind. Yes, I can get cranky at times, but tend to throw in a little humor to make someone smile.
