trim mounting question.....

i just bought some trim for the windsheild of my 79, it's the full trim version that sits on top of the seal.. does anyone know how this stuff mounts... i thought it just cliped into the ridge where the old chrome was but i seem to be missing the retainer clips or do i need a specific seal... thanks

the seal you need is from a 73 to 77 it has a groove all the way around for the trim to fit into
yours has the grove for the plastic trim? will need to change out regurds joe
