Sweet! What a small world! This area of ct is great! When it warms up we gotta do a garage day (diff, tranny, and engine oil change).
Right now in between work and other activities of life, I am in the process of doing my water pump. It appears to have stopped snowing for now, but I hope to have the truck rolling before the next snow.
They were right when they mention the 4.9 liter being a torque monster! My house is down a hill, and my driveway is slippery on a dry day. One time, half way up in snow and ice, I couldn’t go anymore. Because my hubs were already locked, I stopped and went to 4 hi...no contest after that...

As long as you are within the CT Chapter section, clicking 'New Thread' will create a new generic thread within the chapter section. To verify, just scroll to the top of this very page and click 'Connecticut Chapter' in the bread crumbs. I have highlighted it in the picture below. I can tell you that not a lot of people frequent this section anymore, but there are some of us that still pass through from time to time offering assistance if we can.
Does anyone have a truly good and dependable mechanic who specializes in 6th Gens? I have a '77 F-100 Ranger with a 302 2wd 3 on the tree shift and its become a bit 'sloppy'. thank you
