17* hpop

My stock 15* HPOP is getting weak, I was wonderin if any of yall have a 17* pump you could part with. I'd rather pay a fellow FTE member than the stealership.

I have heard very mixed opinions about that pump. And I know the one before it didnt work out. I'm leary on spending 470.00 on it. Have you heard any unbiased reports on that pump??

I have heard that Joey has changed some of what he does to the pump to decrease long crank times. So far people I've chatted with online seem happy. And $470? I don't think it's anywhere near that much. He quoted me much less to upgrade my stock 99 15* pump to a modded 17.

Duh... I bet you're right.
KevinC- Termy modded 17 is a whole different animal than the Dieselsite Adrenaline pump. The modded 17 is a stock HPOP with some work done to increase the flow.

Is longer crank time a sign of a weak pump? It has 262,000Kilo on the original pump.

It can be. At that mileage (or kilometerage... ) your pump could be getting weak. Could be weak batteries too.

if you have long cranks all the time..check the reservoir before you start her up...if its low on oil.. then you may have a bad injector oring...

Batt's are original. This winter was the first time I have ever had a problem and the truck sat for three days at -25*C. When I went to start it there just wasn't enough juice. Put the charger on for a while and it worked out. No problems since and I have a habit of listening to the radio for hours if the truck is near where I'm working, ie doors open radio up, blah, blah, blah. I should check for specific voltage though I guess. They should be a bit tired.

Ok youre right, I was thinkin of the adrenaline. Ok, so contact terminatoreng.? Thanks guys, I'll PM him. Now, everyday my truck fires almost instantly if it has been run that day, and on a cold start usually fires on the third turnover. I don't want a pump thats gonna take forever to start. I'm going to run AE as soon as I get ahold of my buddy with the software and see what my ICP pressures and IPR duty cycle is. But I thought I'd post over here since I'm gonna get an SD pump.
