to be very inexpencive. put some weight in the box and wrap a chain around the axle and bolt it to the frame and then take the weight out. this way is free if you steel the chain off a trucker's load at a truck-stop and if you use a come-a-long you can slam it when you park.
You, sir, are an idiot supreme. I'm going to skip on commenting on how dangerous your "method" of lowering a truck is, and go directly to this - as someone who occasionally transports stuff across the country, if I ever see anyone reaching for something in my truck or trailer that is not theirs, there's a good chance they will never be seen or heard from again! My stuff is mine because I worked hard for it, if you want it you will have to pay for it, one way or another - have shot at people before, will not hesitate to shoot again, and there will be no warning shots either!
Another way, you could pull a leaf out. its not recomended to re use your U-bolts, but, I don't care if you do. I know a guy that used a mono leaf with bags cause he didnt have money at the time for a 4 link.
Monoleafs with airbags ain't nothing new, and is just fine if the monoleaf is retained in its entirety along with the shackle. There will be lots of axle wrap, however, so some sort of traction bars would be nice to have.
