Shaun, I saw in my local paper that the local Civil War group went down to Baltimore today to help out with trying to preserve the Presidents street traiin station..

Did you hear anything about that??

No I havent Don. It wouldnt suprise me though since Lincoln came into town via that station. But I dont know much about the happenings for the civil war guys since I am quite a few years ahead of them time wise.

At least that is how the newspaper presented it..

The first person to die in the Civil War was Sumner Needham and he was from MA... He is buried in a local Cememtary here..

The MA regiment arrived at that station also and he was killed shortly after arriving there.. That is why I believe the paper played it up so much..

I didnt hear about at all today Don. Typically the CW guys dont really mingle with those of us that portray Rev war and 1812. We dont even have the same governing bodies.

I thought it might have been in the paper seeing they are trying to preserve the place for history.. Our paper said they want to turn it into a hotel or something..

Right now it is a civil war museum and is open part time. I think the historical society of MD owns the building. But I could be wrong on the ownership.
