Exactly...many families "warehouse" their loved ones at extended care facilities. Those are the folks who get taken care of last. For the life of me...I can't understand why people don't treat their elderly relatives with the love and respect they deserve.
I think alot has to do with familes are not as close as years ago.. Even Italian families are not like they once were..
Ken my grandmother is very lucky. She still lives in the house her and my grandfather bought many yrs ago. she can still take care of herself for the most part which is good. but my parents , older brother and his wife, myself and my younger brother live there with her to help take care of her if need be. In fact her mother lived there until she passed away.
That is good for your grandmother..
We tried doing that with my mother, but it had gotten to hard for my brother and sister in law to care for her.. She has forgotten to much and everyday it is more and more gone..
I can understand that Don. I also know that is a hard decision to make. in fact one of my other great grandmothers lived in her own home despite having one of her legs amputated. we would visit her every day to make sure she was okay and stay several hrs. but that was probably 17 yrs ago when she passed.
Morning Shaun...the appointment resulted in a no sale...at least for now. The folks are looking for a new Fusion...he wants to order a 2010...she wants him to get a 2009. Her reasoning...supported by me...is that with a 2009...he gets a 6 cyl...and it's 3 gee whizzers cheaper. My reasoning involves the fact that...if he gets the '09...I get paid now...if he orders a 2010...I don't get paid for a couple months!!!

My Mother in law who is going to be 91 is like that she has one leg and they have a women come over to the house to watch her while my sister in law works..

someday id like to make a gaint one for like the yawn or something like that..
But eh considering I live out of a suitcase anyways (huge duffle bag waterproof backpack thing), its not that big a deal to stuff everything back inside and carry it out to the van.
Its the lugging and loading of the two ladie's and two cat's baggage that taxes me.

I would have them powder coated instead of paint.
Also put the name at the center of the cross instead of the base..
