With or Without??
Wendell, you said it right there. Although I do like it on to break up the yellow and it does match my rain guards, I think it gives it more of a "older" more "streetish" look than the off roader he is.

You might be able to have it both ways, like I did.
I had a clear bug shield painted on the back side, the same color as the vehicles body, so it looks like it belongs there, but doesn't really call attention to itself.
Painting a clear bug shield on the back side lets the color show through, but the clear front suface protecsts the paint on the back side from stone strikes, or bug juice damage
It just changes the profile & overall look of the vehicle, without really standing out, or calling attention to itself.
I also had the lower valence below the front bumper, painted to match the body color too, but then my truck is a "Sport" & all white with white bumpers too, so my overall front profile is all monochrome white, but looks good & is different in a pleasing way. So I was able to add a bug shield witout it standing out, or taking over the front profile of my white Ranger.
If you have photoshop, you could go in & change just the color of the bug shield, to see how it would look, before actually painting it!!!!
So maybe play around with photoshop & see if you can get a combo that pleases your eye.
Some more thoughts for pondering.

Have you tried with the mud flaps yet? Really man take them off and check it out - especially the view looking at the rear of the truck from about 25 feet away.......for the most part your tires are within your fender flares so you won't really be slinging rocks all over the side if that's a hang up.....anyway just my 2 cents worth -
