My 94 Ranger 2wd 4.0L V6 with 125000 miles on it has a really bad idle. Plugs and wires were change, fuel filter, and air filter were also. It has 2 codes:
KOER= 528: Insufficient RPM change during KOER dynamic response test/ Operator error
KOEO+ 116:ECT out of self test range.
Ill change the ECT, but im not sure about the 528. I did the test twice, but still got the 528. Any thoughts?
The 528 code means you didn't punch the throttle exactly the way you were supposed to at exactly the right moment during the KOER test. You should just ignore that code for now.
If the codes were pulled and the engine was not up to operating temperature, then that could be the cause of the 116 code.
