replacing ball joints.

well its that time for me. gotta do my ball joints. i know how to do them, thats not a problem. my question is this, is there any way to do it without using a ball joint press? or would it really be worth it to spend the $100 to rent it from AZ?

another thing, what size is the CV nut?

any pointers are appreciated.

My local AZ loans tools for free, you might want to call them. If not, I think you can buy a press from HF for something like $50.

One of my ball joints was so in there that the press couldnt get them out. So i just took a BFH with a ball on the end and beat the hell outta it till it came out. But, renting the press from AZ is the way to go, after all you do get your money back. Cant remember the nut size tho.
