Camper Wiring

My truck has the 7 pin connector for a camper or whatever. Does anybody know how to check if the camper battery is getting charged by the truck when you are plugged into the truck. I have power going to my 7 pin connector and i checked to make sure it is wired correctly. The camper signals and everything else works but could i just put a meter on the camper battery when hooked up and see if it is charging at 14.5 volts?

I would check at the truck plug with a meter.

If i remember right i checked mine last year. I took off + battery cable in Camper. I turned the key on (to activate towing relays) in the truck. The 12v stuff worked in camper. I did this to make sure the truck would supply 12v to camper in case i killed the battery and it would be able to raise my landing gear.

I killed my camper battery on the weekend while camping and was still not able to raise the jacks with the truck running so i must have some other electrical issues.
