That's not the only problem you will have if you keep doing it.
Now you pay for it.
Just have to learn to trouble shoot, repair and keep doing it as long as the truck is abused like that..
Wire harness goes down the passenger side of the motor and back to the trans connector, TRS switch, Oxygen sensors and EVAP and fuel pump.

As for the blinking Transmission light, get the codes, it will tell you what the fault is, On my 1997 the light started blinking the code came up Torque converter not locking.

The wire bundle to trans runs down passenger side of motor, pull your fender liner and see if it is rubbing on the exhaust manifold, mine was and it was an issue.
