My opinion: I wouldn't feel good about the guy saying the Bronco has only 34,000 miles. Will this be your daily driver? Which truck do you feel more comfortable working on? What do you use the truck or Bronco for? Another thing to look at is how important is Gas mileage to you?

sounds fair other than the mileage issue you could check oasis/carfax or fords service report see if anything shows up. personally im a bigger fan of the 351 than the 6 but the 6 is a great motor and cant beat efi on a daily driver...guess i'm not helping much

It sounds to me like you know what you want. You already have a truck, so that need is fulfilled. You are not dependent on the vehicle to get to work, pick up the kids, etc. Besides the fact that the Bronco owner is claiming it only has 34,000 miles, I say why not?

dont kid yourself i havent found 3 300 inlines in all of canada for sale and only 2 were manuals personally id keep the sixer just cuz its a little motor dont mean anything that 300 will still triple that mileage before it needs a rebuild if its been maintained and they make great little mud trucks cause you cant kill em...34000 on a 79 bronc and hes gonna trade + $400 knowing the list yours has? im gonna say its got more miles then that since it shakes and makes noise on the highway and he willing to trade like that theres a good chance something is majorly wrong with it...those who have that year of ford hold on to em unless there is alot of money to put into em

**EDIT** 34000 miles and has tranny diff AND power steering leaks I CALL BLUFF! unles it was parked since 80 and the seals all dried up

see if i can help with this post, the bronco is gonna need work probably not much more than your 150 assuming mileage on the bronco is no more than 234,000 but it will need more tuning type work which you seem up to doing, if your needs are for a pick-up keep yours if not and your a bronco fan and want something to work on go for it.

i would probably trade for the bronco in your position you have a back-up vehicle to fall back on, not in need of the 150, and fan of the bronco. it sounds like its held together well and body frame and engine are known to hold up but before you do it you need to find out if the motor shake is a result of engine running rough or bigger internals issues.

i think it has been sitting but im not sure the guy wants to trade it for a truck cause he just started a road side assistance company and he said the broncos not working for it. plus he drove it about an hour to meat me and than i drove it about an hour and than he drove it a nother hour home so thats almost 3 hours of it running and it was fine. as far as i no. is there a way to tell if the engines just running rough or if theres an internal problem with out doing like a compression test or any thing major
