jason,
i might be able to save the $45 set up fee. i can give you the image it just needs to be converted to whatever kind of format that your sign shop uses. i see your from northport, i'm from kings park.(for those of you who don't know...we are literally 5 minutes apart.) my program is called vinyl express. you need my program to open a image in this format. if you know how to convert it, your more than welcome to come over and do it. i also might be able to recreate the image in the format that your sign shop can use. my computer skills are lousy. another option is sign-a-rama in huntington. they are good freinds of mine and have done work for me in the past. the owner dawn is a wizz with these graphic programs. let me know if i can do anything and feel free to PM me or shoot me a e-mail. thanks for your time with setting this up for everyone.

IM me your email address and I will send you the pic of the logo we have. Bring it to your friend and see if they can do better. I'd rather go local espically it the price is comparable I just don't know anyone.
As for my computer skills .....
...I'm lucky I can find my way onto the message board!!
PS where did you get Northport from? I live in Port Jeff

I've used GemGraphics from NH (I know they are not local) in the past for my Fire Department. They are fast, cheap, and do excellent work if you want to check one more place. If the picture file isn't clear, they will charge an art charge to clean it up. That was like $60 for my stickers. For 3.5" round stickers in lots of 50 it was $2.50/each and for lots of 100 it was $2.00/each. The link (Welcome to Gemini Screenprint & Embroidery; high quality precision screen printing for industrial products.) and my contact is Steve Myre. I can do the legwork if you email me the picture.
i got a response from my local sign shop.(sign-a-rama). dawn the owner is walking me through with converting the image to a format she can use. if i can get that done then we all wont pay for the image to be reproduced. she gave me a price for high performance viynl, it will be die cut(the areas of black will be your window or paint-not a black sticker backround). they would also have a UV overlaminite. she can do 50 pcs for $275 ($5.50 each).6"X6". thats her price to me and of coarse i would just pass that on to everyone.
i thought i should give you a little backround on myself. i'm a heavy equiptment operater/mason (town employee). i have a sign buissness that i run from my house. i've been doing commercial trucks-fire depts-job site signs ect. for the past 7 years. when i got involved with the chapter sticker i just wanted to help create the image. i was'nt looking to make money on these. i also work 72 hours a week.initially we were looking at about 10 stickers i was going to make them (layered viynl) and send them out for free, but the intrest grew and it looks like we have about 30 or so people on the roll call thread.(maybe some might want more than one) i also dont have a "print" vinyl machine, dawn has a few. she has done all my fire dept logos. high quality.
so if i can't convert the image from my sign program to something she can use, ther might be a additional charge.(knowing her probably not).
for the guys that are local to me the shop is in hunington,(just moved from jericho tpke. to oakwood road)-sign-a-rama.
i will post there contact info so if anyone has specific questions.(lets just not hound her/50 pcs is a small job for her and somewhat of a courtesy to me).off to work i'll check in later.
