Alright with so much crap in the back of my truck it just occurred to me that I should really get a bed cover for the bed. I have used soft ones before I liked them.
I know I don't want a hard top and I don't think I want one of the metal roll out ones either.
Anything I need to know or think about?
What about where to order from? Haven't talked to Clay recently about it but I supposed i should ask him once I find a part number.

Take a long at this site to give you some ideal of whats out there. Seven different manufacturers.
I have a rugged liner folding cover & like it. My dad has an extang trifecta & I was considering the same when I found the rugged liner. The rugged liner was priced cheaper, but I feel it is constructed just as well. They both have things I like & dislike.. The RL clamps on faster, which is nice because I take mine on/off a lot & it also has safety straps attached to the front, in case the main clamps come loose. On the extang, the rear clamps stow away nicer inside of the rail.
As for as "what type" .. I like the tri-fold soft cover. It affords you 2/3 of your bed if you want to haul something bigger that won't take up your bed, yet comes of easily if you need the whole bed. It also works good when towing mu 5th wheel. I can keep the front 1/3 of the bed covered & keep firewood dry under it & once the camper is un hooked, fold the cover back & the whole bed is covered.
I've had rollups that snap onto a rail system & will never own one of them again. they are the biggest pain to try & get stretched & connected when its cold outside.
The biggest downfall I am now finding is that everyone is posting pics of their truck with he cool stacks & I don't think there's any safe way to make stacks works with a bed cover..
I have a Truxedo LO PRO and I love it. Roll out or in in just seconds, extremely tough, and lifetime warranty on the tarp. I had as much as 36'' of snow on it this winter and never had a problem with it. When I bought mine it cost a little over $300.
I have an UnderCover brand hard cover and LOVE it. I've got rails on it now, and a Thule rack system in place so that I can mount/unmount the bars in about 1 minute. Then attach bike tracks, ski/board attachments, or a basket for extra functionality. I can stand on it with no worries, and it weighs ~60lbs so it's pretty light. the 3-piece ones do look pretty cool though, but do you want the back of your SuperDuty to look like an Avalanche??? J/K!!! I really do think those are super cool & might be the way I'd go if I had to do it again.
Thanks for the replies everyone. My friend has a truxedo and really likes it. I may look into something like that. Preferably without snaps.

I wouldn't mind the roll up hard ones but the price is rather high and I was told that the rolling mechanism takes up a bit of space. But the security and durability would be comforting.

I can snap some pics of the roll n lock tomorrow and post them. It allows for 9" underneath of it on an 8' bed. If you have a short bed it will be a smaller "roll up holder" and allow more room. And you still have the full length of the bed underneath. The box itself is about 12" long.
