2002 f350

Got my first diesel fixer upper. 2002 f350 4x4. Quick background-truck had no starter on it n fuse box had a burnt spot on the back behind starter relay I put starter on n replaced fuse box. Got two fresh batteries in it. When I turn the key the abs light n airbag light pop up but I have nothing else. Truck won’t try to start, no radio, windows, lights or anything

Got a OBS scanner? Any codes?

Gut instinct is the GEM module is shot.

I don’t have a scanner. Is there a way to test the gem?

There’s no gem mounted to fuse box n there’s no vsm behind the radio. I have a box behind glove box that appears to be brand new n there’s a box behind e brake that goes through firewall to a plug under the hood

This vehicle doesn't have a GEM module, so that cannot be it,

You have a "NO POWER" problem, at least in the areas where it's needed to fire up the instrument cluster and the rest of the non-operative sub-systems.

I'd be looking at that replacement fuse box and all its connections with a VERY skeptical eye. I'd suggest starting by inventorying EVERYTHING electrical that does and does not work correctly. Post that list and we'll be better able to point you in the right direction without wasting a lot of time checking unneeded items.

I put original fuse box back on and it did the exact same thing. I pulled instrument cluster n inspected n saw no visible signs of anything wrong

The original fuse box was reported as burned. Putting it back into the truck doesn't make any sense.

For continued assistance, suggest following provided directions. Otherwise, you're on your own and probably depending on luck to find the issue.

update. I’m lost. I have power to fuse box. Rechecked all plugs n connections. Power door locks are the only thing that work. I tested ignition(good). Tested ignition actuator (good). Rechecked every fuse n relay with meter. All checked good. I’m thinking maybe computer? Any help Is appreciated
