Differential maintenance

Ok, So I know this has been asked before. Can somone give me a link or info as to the quantities and type of oil used in the Differential. I have a 1994 f-350 crew cab with 4.10 gears and a limited slip and have read that I should use 75/140 synthetic. Do I use the friction modifier? I tow alot in the summer so I want to make sure I do this right. Thanks!

Yes, the LSD needs friction modifier, even more so with the synthetic oil. How much of it you need I dunno...

Plus 8 oz. (U.S. measure) additive friction modifier, C8AZ-19B546-A (EST-M2C118-A) or equivalent for limited-slip applications.

IF I understand L.S.DIffs. right (and that's a big IF) and you use LESS friction modifier the L.S. clutches work "more".
My guess would be if you use the recommended amout (8oz.) with the synthetic fluid your L.S. will be a little more "agressive".
That seems to be the case with my Cherokee.
