Talking sea foam is some amazing stuff!

ok i just replaced my fuel filter on my 6.9 and as far as i know noone has put any additives in it in its 237,000 mile life except some diesel kleen in the tank.. so ive heard from a couple people to fill the fuel filter full of sea foam and so i tried it and WOW, i own a different truck now! it opened that baby up and i have dramatically increased mileage and it runs great now , just thought others needed to hear bout this awesome product ( can be found at walmart for 7 bucks)

It cleans the fuel system.
Worked good on my 4.0L Cherokee.

I've run every kind of cleaner through mine. None really helped much at all. Everything already pretty clean. But the seafoam actually helped a little. Little more throttle response.

Haha, my Lincoln was blowing smoke like 10ft away (side pipes) when I used that stuff, sure cleaned it all up good tho. Still gotta do the same with the diesel...

Did you add it to your fuel or oil?
I'm guessing fuel.

Actually, fed it through the booster vacuum line, can't do that with a diesel tho.

84, far as i know it is stock, i bought it oct 07, have had a TON of problems that are pretty well worked out now, and my mpg is slowly going up...

RM, hopefully you changed the oil shortly after doing so. the foam cleans the crankcase like it does the engine, it breaks down the gunk. I believe i read that they recommend adding it to the oil, run it about 10-15 mins then change it.

Joe, all i did was take my filter off, dump it out and refill it with a whole can of foam. But my fuel pump is an electric on a switch, so i could run it 100% for a minute or so then turn the fuel back on to keep the dreaded UH-O from happening

You probabbly already know, but make sure you change your oil within 100miles of adding the seafoam to it. The seafoam will break down the carbon and sludge, but you don't want to cycle that through as a lubricant too long.
