Welcome to FTE

Make sure that if you do see a 1961 painted what you think is Academy Blue, that Ford also offered a Light Blue = COLOR code D.

Thanks Bill,
I haven't seen either blue yet someone repainted the interior of my truck but I don't know if it is the correct color.

Most people never repaint the area under the seat, or the firewall under the dash...look there.

Bill,
I looked under the dash and the factory paint is a very light dusting but it looks darker than what they used. whats in the interior now looks more like 1970 mustang grabber blue. I guess I'll just buy a small qty of the original color and see what it looks like.

Some Automotive Paint Supply stores where body shops buy their supplies, have color chip charts for older vehicles.

You can find these chips online...but the problem is...when the chips are transfered to a digital format, they will appear darker than original.
