Wondering if someone can tell me if these tires will fit the stock wheels on my 2004 F-150 FX4 SC. I know I need a leveling kit to put them on the truck as well.
the only way would be if you used a 0.75" to 1.25" wheel spacer...and I'm not sure I'd want to use one of them with a 5,000-6,000 lb truck
reason they won't work is the 13.5" width. a 12.5" wide tire is already 1/4" from rubbing the upper control arm. the 13.5" wide tire will be about .5" too wide and be constantly rubbing
yes...but even that is an iffy prospect. the tire type and brand is a pretty big determiner here as well
A/T tires and M/T tires that have a smaller profile on the side tread will be just fine.
Tires with very aggressive side treads like the Baja Claws won't though. As I mentioned, there will be about 1/4" of clearance between the tire sidewall and the upper control arm.
I had test fit a set of 35/12.5/18 Toyo M/T on my truck with the OEM rims. Fit just fine, but that small clearance freaked me out. There are a few guys on here running that setup though with 0 problems.
BrianjWilson has a 06 truck exactly like mine here somewhere on the site. He is running 35/12.5/18 BFG KM2 mudders and says they are just fine.
