Here ya go man. I'm just going through it now. RJM Injection Tech EGR Eliminators
You will need the proper block off plate, just measure from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole.
Also the Original EGR Eliminator.
Any more questions?
is capping all that needs done or will the connector need something done with it and what if it does. like i said in another post fuel injuction is new to me
The Original EGR Eliminator will plug into the connector.
"EGR Valve Position Sensor Eliminators send a 0.50volt CLOSED EGR signal to the computer. The computer then knows the EGR is permanently closed. Keeps the annoying CHECK ENGINE light OFF, and more importantly keeps the engine running smoothly."
So you need the to block everything off and install that plug and you're good to go!
I don't understand why so many people want to eliminate the EGR system on these trucks, there is no performance to be gained from removing it. If it ain't broke....
To tell ya the truth Paul, since I lost my EGR pipe somewhere along a 200 mile round trip I eliminated it because a new pipe was $30 shipped anyways. Plus, I just decided to rid myself of it so I don't have to worry about it being dirty or anything else.
How much is this eliminator you are talking about? A new pipe at $30 doesn't sound all that bad. Not knocking your decision or view, just wondering what the cost difference is. I personally wouldn't have eliminated the egr, I might have found parts in a Jyard instead of buying new as well. To each is own.
I pulled the egr off because the tab that mounts it to the intake was broken off. one of the mounting ears was also broken off on my intake but a good friend welded that for. my aunt and uncle own a salvage yard and I am out in it evrytime I am able to visit them, it is also the closest one in my area. they do not have any ford trucks with a 5.8 in them, they do have one, but thee is no getting under the hood the front end has been seriously smashed. they have 5.0 all over. there is a salvage yard that deals in strictly 4x4 truck parts, they want new prices for what they have, I thought it would be cheaper to just remove the egr and block it all off, than to go get the parts new.
