there are soooo many products to make screws 5th wheel capable (ei http://www.pullrite.com/ ) ... has anyone sucessfully tried something?

While I'm sure anything is possible, it doesn't sound feasible. For a 5th wheel hitch to be properly mounted, it must have the centerline of the hitch pin located just forward of the axle. This doesn't leave much room in a SCrew. I highly doubt a camper type would work, maybe a flatbed type trailer but now you run into the weight capabilities of the truck. Don't think it's gonna work.

actually it will with a hitch that slides back in a turn. Expensive, but it works.
