Yep your correct, but it is a big monster when it's' washing & waxing time. And, ya know, nobody ever shows up and volunteers to help, I'll have to figure out how to recruit help, maybe a
Great idea! Everybody head to Kitty's place to help wash & wax her truck. When we finish hers, we bbq and have a nice cold frosty beverage and figure out whose truck is next! The following weekend, we head to that truck's house for a washin, waxin and bbqin!
Well my truck "needs" a bath now as I went over to Garys' at about 8pm and he put a new plug end on the block heater cord . But, right after he started, it started to rain , so we both got a bit wet, and then the truck got dirty driving home, so when does the "washin' party start ? Will you arrive with the soap & wax, or should I plan on providing it ?
I would get on of the "Hospital" Grade plugs from Lowe's, it's the one with the dot on it. Then where the wire goes into the plug, fill it full of RTV and clamp her down.
Well, Gary istalled the new plug friday evening in the rain and I felt sorry for him doing that for me, but I am really grateful that he was willing to help me. But, seems like there is always a "but" as it gets worse
I plugged the truck in yesterday for about 3 hours, and it appears that it still wants to "scorch" the one blade of the new plug .
So, I guess I need to get a new cord . Getting the cord is not really the bad part, it's getting that thing installed. There is just no, and I mean NO room to work on the side of the engine compartment.
OH well, it would have been great if it cured the problem.
So, I'm off to Lowes to get something to remove a screw with a stripped head, then get new screws so I can finish mounting the flat panel TV swing arm bracket that I bought. I have reinforced the wall so the bracket will mount into something quite solid.
Kitty...that neutral wire is not the ground wire. I made that mistake already. The wire marked neutral is the power return side.
I'd ask Gary how he put the line into the plug...and if he used that neutral as the ground it needs to be changed. I used mine over the weekend before a pal of mine who is a certified tech told me to bring it over to his place and he fixed the wiring for me...and it's worked fine eversince. As a matter of fact, I just went out and plugged it in for the night.
Hey Dave...no problemo dude...I dug out the pressure washer over the weekend...BRING ON THE DIRT DEVIL!
