J Hook / Tie Downs

J Hook / Tie Downs
Anybody know where I can find old school J hooks or tie downs? Hard to discribe but my trucks PO had them all down the side of the bed. You can see in this pics where they were mounted. I really don't like the way they look but I would like to have them until I get all the holes filled.

There's a place here in town you need to know about - you will love, and will be harder to get you out of than the kids at "Toys-R-Us."

They will have your hooks and anything else you will ever need hardware wise!
I-805 North exit on Miramar Rd. Head east (toward I-15) on Miramar Rd. Production is about 3/4 mile from the freeway (805).
Turn left on "Production" and you will see a red sign on the right hand side just as you cross the railroad tracks!
Have fun!
PS. They sell drip pans too if you need any more under that truck!!!!!

See what I mean Julie. Everything that is cool in the U.S. is always in So-Cal, good looking trucks, ladies, hardware stores, beaches, etc. Too many times have I wished I didn't live on the right coast or is that left coast, a hell, I mean the East coast.

Yep, I remember the pictures of the day you brought it home and you were looking at the oil leak under the truck. When I'm that old I may leak too! It's when you come out in the morning and there ISN'T any oil on the pan that you have to worry.
Just a thought about those hooks. On my 55, the PO had mounted some in just about the same place yours were. And he must have been haulin' some STUFF because the hooks had pulled enough to distort the bed a little.
I wanted hooks too, but not the distortion, so I cut a piece of 5/4 Honduran Mahogany to fit under the bed angle/roll, then with a little countersinking on the backside of the mahogany, bolted the hooks to the wood. Then used a couple carraige bolts to hold it up under the bed edge. Worked good and no distortion. It also will save the paint on the bed role because the hooks won't be tucked under so much and chaffe that edge.
