Ok so i have a obs truck and have stage 1s. A while back and i put a sd pump in it and it ran great. Now all of the sudden i am getting a p1211 about the injector pressure above/below desired level. I ues to get this at wot with my old pump but not the sd pump. I now get it all the time and even in my economy tune. The truck falls flat on its face at higher rpms. I am thinking it is either ipr of hpop but am not sure of either???
Also a lil while back i replaced the turbo jw if this could have anything to do with it??
I'd guess it's your IPR. There's really nothing in the HPOP that can fail, it's an axial piston pump, and if something does go bad, you'll have no oil movement at all.
Is there anyone around you with an AE that can monitor your oil pressure to see what it is doing? Have you checked the simple things like the nut on the back side of the IPR? All connections tight?
What turbo did you go with? What boost numbers are you running now compared to then? I'll agree with Adam, if I had to choose between the 2, I'd vote IPR. I also like the idea of finding someone with an AE or similar who can monitor live data and see what your ICP / IPR is doing when it falls off.
It's a scanner capable of reading codes from our engines that can also monitor live data, run some tests, reprogram the speedo, etc.
With it you can watch (or record) your ICP psi and IPR % while making a run to see if the IPR maxes out or falls off, or the ICP starts falling off. Watching the IPR % & ICP psi can also give you an idea of the health of your HPOP.
