I can't get the plug in my oil pan to quit leaking. I bought a new one a year ago and used a torque wrench to tighten it and it still leaks. Has anyone had a similar problem/fix?
It's a quick drain oil valve. Replaces the stock drain plug.. flip a lever and the oil drains out. It drains slower than stock, but it's sooo nice... crawl under there with a drain pan and flip the lever! I'll look for a link here in a sec...
oh i must have 100's of those around the shop, lots of applications with our big rigs would use them. sounds nice, though i hate having to wait for it to drain, and the magnet is also good to have
Take off the metal washer and replace it with a blue hard plastic washer from Advance Discount Auto Parts. You can fix the problem for under a dollar, and they last for around 50,000 miles, or 10 oil changes. Problem solved.
